serve DAY

JOIN US AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE

it's time to make a difference in our city!

Serve Day 2025 will take place on Saturday, April 5! The vision of Serve Day is for us, the local church, to go into our communities and love our neighbors. We hope people’s hearts will be opened to the love of Jesus through practical projects and acts of service.

We’ve got a shirt for you.

: : READY TO SERVE? : :

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:10-11

you ask, we answer!

What is Serve Day?

Serve Day is an exciting opportunity for us, the local church, to go into our communities and love our neighbors. Whether through a Small Group or by joining a Serve Day project, come be a part of serving our communities and sharing the love of Jesus through simple, practical acts of kindness.

Do I need to be in a Life Group to serve on Serve Day?

The best way to get involved is through a Small Group, and you can find the right group for you by searching our LF Groups. Most groups are open to new members throughout the semester, so feel free to contact the leader of a group that fits your interests, meeting location, and time preference.

However, if you’re unable to join a Small Group but would still like to participate in a Serve Day project, you can browse available projects through our registration link.

What if I don't have Serve opportunity selected and my small group wants to serve?

Our hope is that every Small Group will plan and participate in a Serve Day project.

How do I plan a Serve Project?

You can always get creative! Assess the needs of people in your neighborhood and local communities, then plan a project that meets those needs. Check out our list of ideas and explore options from local service organizations for ways to get involved.

How do I communicate to the church which Serve Day project our group is planning?

We’d love to know how your group plans to participate in Serve Day! You can register your group’s Serve Day project using the registration link.

Who pays the costs associated with our Small Group's Serve Project (supplies, travel expenses, etc.)?

Each Small Group is responsible for the costs associated with their Serve Day project. We recommend planning your project based on your group’s size and commitment level.

If you need assistance with supplies, please email the details to missions@lifefellowship.tv.

What should I bring on Serve Day?

Bring any personal items you may need for your project, such as your Serve Day T-shirt, sunscreen, water, sneakers, or a hat. Your Small Group Leader can confirm any project-specific items you may need, like gloves, rakes, lawnmowers, tarps, or work tools.

For serve opportunities that involve physical labor, wearing work clothes is a good idea, and we recommend avoiding jewelry.

How will the church communicate additional details about Serve Day?

Small Group Leaders and Co-Leaders will receive weekly emails with updates about Serve Day.

What if it rains?

If your Serve Day project is outdoors, be sure to have a backup plan in case of bad weather. Consider options like visiting a nursing home, serving at a local organization, or cleaning classrooms at a nearby school.

Who can I contact with questions or concerns?

Your Small Group Leader should have additional information about Serve Day. If you have any questions, you can also email our team at missions@lifefellowship.tv.

Donations

Many of the Serve Day projects can only happen if the right resources and materials are available.

Take a look at the projects in the registration link, and feel free to contact the leader. If you’d rather let us know what resources or materials you’d like to provide, simply text GIVE to 51010, and we’ll help!
