We win with character, not compromise

This week, Pastor Chris dives into “We win with character, not compromise.” Drawing from 1 John 1, he stresses accountability and mentorship in our journey of faith. Character isn’t just action; it’s integrity in thoughts, words, and habits. Embrace accountability to identify blind spots and grow closer to God. Let’s commit to integrity, reflecting God’s character in all we do!

Bible
Verse

If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

1 John 1:6-8

Kids

Character can be a complex topic to teach kids. What is “character” anyway? Let your kids watch this video on Character and then read the Fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22). Ask your child, which of the Fruits of the Spirit are easiest? Which are the hardest? Remember, the Holy Spirit grows the Fruits of the Spirit in us. Spend some time praying, asking God to help grow those fruits in you and your kids!

Here is a great student devotional on the trap of compromise. Send this link to your student!
