This individual has a demonstrated history of growing teams, reaching students, and empowering disciples. They will provide vision and leadership to the Student Ministry, ensuring the accomplishment of goals and the healthy growth of the ministry.
Key Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in student ministry leadership roles, with a track record of developing and expanding teams, engaging students, and fostering spiritual growth.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire both youth and volunteer leaders. Skilled in setting goals, monitoring progress, and achieving desired outcomes.
• Management: Competent in administrative tasks including budgeting, financial management, and adherence to financial policies. Efficient in managing the operational aspects of youth ministry.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and relational skills. Adept at building relationships with youth, parents, volunteers, and church staff.
• Crisis Management: Skilled in counseling and crisis management, able to handle sensitive situations with care and discretion.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office Suite and other relevant software tools necessary for ministry administration.
• Team Player: Strong team player, willing to collaborate and step into other Next Gen areas as needed. Demonstrates flexibility and a cooperative spirit.
• Personal Attributes: Highly self-motivated, visionary, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize time effectively. Displays a positive attitude and approach to problem-solving.
Core Responsibilities
• Vision and Strategy: Develop and implement the vision and strategy for the Youth Ministry in alignment with the church’s overall mission.
• Team Building: Recruit, train, and retain a strong team of student and adult leaders. Build a reproducible teaching team and oversee weekly youth services.
• Pastoral Care: Function as a pastor, spiritual leader, mentor, coach, and counselor for student ministry leaders. Provide guidance and support in handling broad-impacting issues and conflicts.
• Program Oversight: Lead the youth ministry, ensuring it thrives and grows. Oversee the planning and execution of weekly services, camps, mission trips, and other events.
• Administration: Manage and oversee the youth ministry budget and expenses. Ensure all financial policies are followed, including tracking, submitting, and managing expenses and purchase orders.
• Social Media Management: Maintain an active presence on all LF Youth platorms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc)
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Next Gen Pastor and attend all scheduled meetings to ensure cohesive and aligned ministry efforts. Step into other Next Gen areas as needed to support overall ministry goals.
