Production Technician

The Production Technician contributes to the needs of the audio, video, & lighting experience at Life Fellowship Church.  
 
The Life Fellowship Production Team creates an environment that facilitates people to connect with God without distractions by ensuring the highest level of excellence and consistency.  
 
The Production Technician will work under the Production Pastor and help ensure that Life Fellowship’s services and events run smoothly through preparation and by operating in assigned roles. 
 
This is a part-time role and does require the person to at times work nights, weekends and holidays. 

Core Responsibilities

• Provide technical video, lighting, and audio support for weekend services, midweek programming, and large events. 

• Setup and provide tech support for events requested by other ministries within the church. 

• Clean and reset stage for events and services. 

• Prepare and program ProPresenter content, Weekly and Weekend Lighting Cues, LED Content, Audio Console Show Files, and Mic Board, as assigned. 

• Ensure microphones, cameras, and other equipment are charged and in place for services and events. 

• Help install new video, lighting, and audio system upgrades. 

• Help with setting up stage re-designs. 

• Maintain and repair video, lighting, and audio equipment resources. 

• Ensure proper set-up and tear down of video, lighting, and audio equipment resources for assigned services and events, supervising volunteers when appropriate. 

• Meet with the Production Pastor for development and oversight. 

• Attend meetings with Production Staff. 

• Actively participate in planning and preparation for services and events that require support from LF Production. 

• Attend church-wide staff meetings as schedule allows. 

• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor. 

• Perform or complete any items deemed necessary to support the vision and mission of the church. 

• This job description may expand or change depending on the needs of the church. 

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of church production, audio, lighting, and video 

• Great communication skills 

• Excellent time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills  

• Strong desire to take initiative  

• Ability to work in a high-profile and high-stress environment 

• Proficiency with setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting complex software and systems 

• Basic office type software understanding (can build slides, create docs, and work within an excel type of application) 

• Knowledge of audio recording techniques 

• Knowledge of video and audio capture workflow (video switcher, proper a/v input routing, etc.) 

• Basic Audio equipment maintenance skills (cleaning, labeling, organizing, etc.) 

This role will work an average of 24 hours a week paid at $20 an hour and will work up to 31 hours during busier seasons.
