The ideal candidate for the Kid’s Pastor position at Life Fellowship Church is a seasoned leader with at least 5 years of proven experience in children’s ministry. This individual has a demonstrated history of growing teams, reaching children, and empowering disciples. They will provide vision and leadership to the LF Kids Ministry, ensuring the accomplishment of goals and the healthy growth of the ministry.
Key Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in children’s ministry leadership roles with a track record of developing and expanding teams, engaging children, and fostering spiritual growth.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire both children and volunteer leaders. Skilled in setting goals, monitoring progress, and achieving desired outcomes.
• Management: Competent in administrative tasks including budgeting, financial management, and adherence to financial policies. Efficient in managing the operational aspects of children’s ministry.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and relational skills. Adept at building relationships with children, parents, volunteers, and church staff.
• Crisis Management: Skilled in counseling and crisis management, handling sensitive situations with care and discretion.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office Suite and other relevant software tools necessary for ministry administration.
• Team Player: This is a strong team player willing to collaborate and step into other Next Gen areas as needed. It demonstrates flexibility and a cooperative spirit.
• Personal Attributes: Highly self-motivated, visionary, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize time effectively. Displays a positive attitude and approach to problem-solving.
Core Responsibilities
1. Vision and Strategy:
• Develop and implement the vision and strategy for the LF Kids Ministry in alignment with the church’s overall mission.
2. Team Building:
• Recruit, train, and retain a strong team of volunteer leaders.
• Build a team that will oversee LF Kids at all services.
• Develop and oversee Service Coordinators and a volunteer leadership team with a comprehensive leadership plan for the year.
3. Pastoral Care:
• Function as a pastor, spiritual leader, mentor, coach, and counselor for children and volunteer leaders.
• Provide guidance and support in handling broad-impacting issues and conflicts.
• Oversee all aspects of LF Kids budget and ministry events.
4. Program Oversight:
• Lead the LF Kids Ministry, ensuring it thrives and grows.
• Oversee the planning and execution of weekly services, specialized events, and development opportunities.
• Ensure all classrooms are set and ready to receive kids one hour before services.
5. Administration:
• Manage and oversee the LF Kids Ministry budget and expenses. o
• Ensure all financial policies are followed, including tracking, submitting, and managing expenses and purchase orders.
6. Social Media Management:
• Maintain an active presence on all LF Kids social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.).
• Ensure that all postings reflect the brand of LF and fall within our marketing guidelines.
• Work with the Next Gen Team to create and plan content.
7. Collaboration:
• Work closely with the Next Gen Pastor and attend all scheduled meetings to ensure cohesive and aligned ministry efforts.
• Step into other Next Gen areas as needed to support overall ministry goals.

• Increased participation of children and their families in weekly services and specialized events.
